Remove Dambai College Principal – Teachers

Some disgruntled teachers at the Dambai College of Education are calling for the immediate removal of the Principal of the College Musah Yakubu Issahako and his Vice, Veronica Kluyibor.

The teachers say they are unhappy with the autocratic style of leadership which according to them is causing divisions in the school.

“This particular principal has adapted certain leadership styles that do not help the students. He brought many policies will not unify the school a disgruntled teacher at the Dambai College of Education.

“Staff meetings are more like a briefing because he does not allow the teachers to contribute. He has his own people that he rules and if you do not kowtow to him, then you become his enemy. I am suggesting that he is removed from the college,” he said.

The teachers also accused him of discrimantion saying, “he is an architect of discrimination and he is not fit to be a principal. If he sees that you are not in line with his ideas, he will remove you from your position and put someone else there, so when you come here, some teachers hold two or more positions. As if that is not enough, he also charges unapproved fees that the students from the students.”

The Acting Vice Principal, Veronica Kluyibor, however refuted the allegations and called on the aggrieved teachers to come together to move the school forward.

“We all work together, the principal does not work in isolation, and if there is an issue we all sit together and deliberate. The aggrieved teachers should all issues aside, work together to better transform the school.”
