DCOP Afeku added that, the two bodies, one of which has been identified as Alebna, have been deposited at the Bolgatanga regional hospital mortuary.
DCOP Afeku noted that, the two deceased and their leader were the culprits behind the death of a Burkinabe truck driver Baba Afo on May 13, along the Bolga-Navrongo at Bukure, and the shooting of Akuyire Adoctor, a watchman at ZEMSTECH, who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
The Police commander added that, the police retrieved five motorbikes, one locally made pistol, a number of AK47 empty shells, a military cap and shirt, four screw drivers, one police whistle, one flat screen TV set and decoder, ten mobile phones, an Acer laptop and a double edge machete from their hideout.
He urged the public to volunteer information on the two suspects at large seeking for health care to the nearest police station.
DCOP Afeku reiterated that, the police will continue to effectively deploy all available resources to ensure a crime-free society.
