Contestants playing it safe was the theme on the third week of the Gospel edition of The Voice Factory, Citi FM’s talent hunt competition, per the Judges sentiments.
The 10 contestants were performing for the second time before the judges, only this time it was with the knowledge that only nine of them would be returning next week.
After the show, listeners were given 24 hours to vote for any contestant of their choice via Facebook and Twitter. The judges however have a 70 percent say on who stays in the contest, with the listeners’ votes accounting for 30 percent.
The three judges, KK Kabobo, Edinam Bright Davis and JB Allotey, were warm in their reception of the performances this past round but they have indicated they will be expecting much more of the contestants that make it through to the next round.
The contestants for this edition’s Voice Factory are: Natasha Odoi, Maame Abena Ankomaa, Elizabeth Joseph, Ohenewaa Williams, Godslove Cudjoe, Kwenorkie Adela, Kakra Mills Robertson, Michelle Amankwaah, Carl Selasie and Gerard Amavi.
As well as ministering the gospel with their performances, they will be be performing with the ultimate prize, of GHc5,000 in sight.
On Wednesday, July 6, the results from the judges and the social media votes will be announced and one of the ten finalists will be eliminated.
The hours leading to the big announcement are sure to be tense for these 10 aspiring Gospel artistes and their budding fan base. Just tune in to the Traffic Avenue on Wednesday, when Jessica will announce who moves on to the next stage.
