Graduates from the Fashion Department of the Radford University College (RUC) will on Saturday [July 2] present the fruits of their imaginations to fashion lovers in the country.
The event which will be held at the Kempiski Hotel in Accra is dubbed the Graduates Fashion Show.
During the launch of the show, graduates thrilled students and staff of the school with samples of their clothing designs while promising to wow patrons of the event on Saturday.
Speaking at the launch of the 2016 show, the Chairman of the RUC, Nana Dwomoh Sarpong, said the College has over the years trained a number of fashion students who are making Ghana proud with their designs.
He revealed that one of the College’s students who graduated last year, Papa Oppong, had his works featured on international news network, CNN, and has also been named as one of the top 15 African fashion designers.
“Two other graduates from the university are at Hollywood and the University of New York,” he added.
The Chairman further called on government to help develop and sustain the fashion industry in Ghana.
Fashion Design is an integral part of the RUC’s curricula.
