Sekondi Hasaacas continued their good home form with a 3-1 win over Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League match played on Thursday.

Hasaacas started well and after two minutes, they got the breakthrough when Eric Bekoe found the net. Justice Blay got the second in the 16th and Samuel Affum completed a great first half for the team when he scored in the 36th minute.

Among the flurry of home goals, Bechem United got themselves together and scored what turned out to be a consolation through Hans Kwofie in the 21st minute.

The result moved Hasaacas up to 10th on 21 points while Bechem dropped to 14th on 18 points.

What the coaches said: Manuel Zakaria, Bechem United head coach: “We created ten chances and scored only goal while Hasaacas had three chances and took all of them. We lost because my players felt Hasaacas were not a big team like Kotoko or Aduana. I told them to take the opposition serious because Hasaacas have the ability to win the match. We also did not concentrate enough.”

Yusif Basigi, Hasaacas head coach: “Our home form is good but I am confident that we will play better away from home. We started to improve against Dreams FC, Hearts and Bechem on the road. I know that we are going to shock some teams away from home. We are getting confident and I think we will get better.”

Hasaacas are away to Dwarfs and Bechem welcome Berekum Chelsea in the next round of league matches.
