The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) will today [Tuesday] host the Flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet in the second edition of its Evening Encounter series.

Mr. Greenstreet is expected to outline his major policy statements ahead of the November polls.

[contextly_sidebar id=”9g0gFv5N7kFnDes1WrhpVE2DfPZgkBol”]The IEA Evening Encounter series is a platform designed for political parties and their flagbearers to interact with a cross section of Ghanaians through Civil Society and other interest-group representation.

After each presentation, representatives of the various civil society groups will pose direct questions, seek clarifications or comment on the presentation.

Last week, the PNC’s Edward Nasigre Mahama was on the platform and was remarkably assessed by patrons.

Speaking to Citi News ahead of today’s encounter, Communications Director of the CPP, Kadir Abdul Rauf Issifu said their candidate will present practical solutions to the country’s problems.

“We are very hopeful and positive that Ivor Greenstreet will blow the mind of Ghanaians because he is going to present practical ideas that can lift our country from its deplorable state of development to a level of development that is going to be appreciated.

“Ivor Greenstreet is going to present realistic ideas that will solve the unemployment situation in Ghana. He is also going to present to Ghanaians realistic ideas that will end our energy crisis which is now chronic. He has the expertise, he has the understanding of the right things that has to be done in order to change the story of our country.”
