Abraham Attah to feature in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Young Ghanaian movie star Abraham Attah has landed a new role in Sony-Marvel’s upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ film, months after his breakthrough in the movie industry.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is intended to be the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise and the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The film will be directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by John Francis Daley & Jonathan M. Goldstein.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker tries to balance his life as a high school student while also being the hero Spider-Man.

Production according to Deadline Hollywood is expected to start in summer with the film hitting theaters on July 7, 2017.

Abraham Attah, the “Beasts of No Nation” star will join some Hollywood stars like Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, and Robert Downey Jr. for the movie.

The Breakthrough

The 15-year old, shot to prominence after being cast in the ‘Beasts of No Nation’ movie alongside celebrated Hollywood actor, Idris Elba.

The movie has since won several awards both in Ghana and Europe.

Attah has recently featured prominently on various global awards stages and picked some nominations and awards including the best male lead at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at the Venice film festival.
