Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Uriah Asante, has died from a reported cardiac arrest.
The death occurred on Monday June 13, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, after he was rushed there.
Asante’s cousin, Adolf Gyimah, confirmed the news in an interview with Kumasi-based Ash FM.
Asante played for Hearts of Oak and then left for Tunisia, where he featured for Etoile du Sahel.
He was aged 24.
Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda, expressed his sadness at the news on Twitter.
