Samsung, one of the world’s leading technology giants, has launched its latest air conditioner, the AR 5000, as well as its new top mounted freezer refrigerator “designed to enhance modern living and deliver a more comfortable home.”
Speaking in an interview with after the launch of the two new products, both the West African director of Samsung and the product manager for refrigerators, Sapan Patel and Selorm Abasa-Addo respectively, maintained that these new technology were designed to meet the consumer needs of customers.
The new AR 5000 HM air conditioner which comes with a built-in refrigerant leakage detector, also features a full HD filter which removes “even the tiniest of microscopic particles to keep the air clean and fresh.”
According to the West African Director for Samsung, Sapan Patel, the AR 5000 “comes with an auto clean function which reduces the moisture inside of the indoor unit and helps in preventing the breeding of bacteria.”
“What we have kept in mind is the durability of the product – it must last long,” he added.
The AR 500 air conditioner comes with an inbuilt copper condenser which makes it easy to maintain and repair.
Another feature on the new AR 5000 is its “good sleep mode” which auto maintains normal room temperature simply with a click on a bottom before one goes to bed.
Twin Cooling plus Refrigerator
Samsung’s new smart convertible top mounted freezer refrigerator, the RT6000K, allows users to switch between using either the fridge only or the freezer only, or both in what it calls “the five possible conversion modes” – freezer-fridge, energy saving, vacation, fridge max mode, and mini fridge mode.
The digital inverter technology in the twin cooling plus maximizes energy efficiency by automatically adjusting the compressor speed to suit the cooling demand.
The Twin cooling plus system cools the compartments separately preventing unexpected odors from spreading from fridge to freezer.
Addressing concerns raised about the affordability of the products as well as competition with other brands on the Ghanaian market, product Manager for Samsung refrigerators, Selorm Abasa-Addo noted Samsung was giving a “quality product at an affordable prize where repair expenses was very minimal.”
