The Ghana Meteorological Agency has predicted that the rains being experienced in parts of the country will linger for a while, and has thus advised Ghanaians to be cautious.
The Agency is asking Ghanaians to avoid places where there is fast flowing water and move from lower ground to higher places if need be.
It also urged the general public to call emergency lines including 112 in case of any eventuality.
The information was captured in a brief statement signed by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.
Flooding
Flooding in parts of the country in previous weeks have led to the destruction property, and left several others homeless.
A 43-year old woman lost her life at Pokuase in Accra in May, after a collapsed wall fell on her during torrential rains.
The Deputy Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Joseph Yamin confirmed the incident to Citi News.
