The final funeral rites and burial of the late Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency in the Eastern Region, Peter Wiafe Pepera, is scheduled to take place on July 23 and 24, 2016.
Members of the family of the late MP announced this when they called on the leadership of Parliament on Wednesday, June 8.
Mr. Wiafe Pepera, who represented his constituents in Parliament since 2009, died on May 21, 2016, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, at age 62 after a short ailment.

He served on various Committees of Parliament including the Privileges, Trade and Industry and Housing.
First Deputy Speaker, Ebo Barton-Odro, who received the family of the late legislator, said Parliament will be well represented at the funeral.
He said the leadership of the House has requested the Clerk to Parliament to get all MPs to go for periodic check-ups to remain fit.
