I’m grateful for the support – Dampare

The newly appointed head of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College at Winneba, COP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has expressed his gratitude to the various stakeholders who contributed to his work as the Accra Regional Police Commander.

COP Dampare was transferred to the Police Command and Staff College from the Accra Regional Police Command after serving as regional commander for six months.

[contextly_sidebar id=”JVONDol3wjOyskO3Xe4vjVdViaBJcDY3″] He previously served as Director General Finance, Director General Welfare among others in the service.

In a statement, COP Dampare stated that he has accordingly handed over to his successor ACP Timothy Yoosa Bonga.

“It is in this regard that I wish to thank the  Police Administration, officers and men within Accra region and all stakeholders including the media, civil society groups, religious groups, political parties and the entire populace of the metropolis for their enormous contribution and cooperation for the entire police command during my tenure. As I take up the new appointment I will beseech all to continue to give same support to my successor and his team for them to keep Accra safe, especially during the upcoming elections”, he said.

He added that the support from the various stakeholders has contributed to the improved security and maintenance of law and order in the region and Ghana.

In the latest wave of reshuffle which is the new IGP’s third in seven months, some 79 others were also reassigned.
