Siblings arrested for killing brother over land sale

Police in the Northern Region have detained two siblings, both sons of the Chief of Nyohini, Nantando Abukari, for beating their brother to death.

The deceased, aged 48, was killed by four of his brothers about two weeks ago in Tamale because he reportedly refused to share the proceeds from a piece of land he sold for GHc 2,000.00

According to the eyewitness, the siblings of the deceased demanded their share of the money but he declined, which resulted into his gruesome murder.

The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the incident to Citi News said the suspects; Mohammed Abdulai and Fuseini Abdulai were arrested on Sunday upon a tip off.

The two other siblings suspected to be involved in the murder are on the run.
