Ghana’s telecommunication industry is reported to be one of the fastest growing in Africa.

Six telecommunication companies operate in Ghana.

They are MTN, Vodafone, Tigo, Airtel, Glo and Expresso.
Only two telecommunication networks operate fixed lines- Vodafone and Airtel.

Vodafone dominates the market with about 96.7 percent of the market. This represents about 258,313. Airtel has the rest of the market with only about 8,699 subscribers as at the end of the March 2014.
Mobile Voice subscribers as at the end of March 2014 stood at about 28,666,728 subscribers.

Mobile Voice Penetration stood at about 109%. This total number of subscribers exceeds the total population because a number of phone subscribers use more than one network at a time.

Citi Business News presents below an infograph showing a pictorial analysis of the performance of the six telecom companies in the period from January 2013 to March 2014.

The analysis is based on data provided by the industry regulator, National Communications Authority (NCA).
