Despite the rain showers, hundreds of families and friends turned up for Citi FM’s Family Fun Day Out at Rufus Green Park in Accra.

The Family Fun Day Out  climaxed Citi FM’s Family Month and it gave families and friends the chance to spend quality time together at the serene Rufus Green Park, in Katamanso – near Regimanuel Grey Estate off the Dodowa road.

Citi FM declared the month of May Family Month and a series of activities and programmes took place with the sole aim of enriching the lives of families in Ghana.

IMG_9193The families who came to Rufus Park took part in a variety of games including scrabble, chess, volley ball and five aside football.

The children were not left out of the fun – they participated in dancing competitions and played on swings and the bouncy castles.

There were lots to eat and drink and photography sessions as well.  Those interested in displaying their singing skills were given the opportunity to display their talents.

The rap doctor, Okyeame Kwame thrilled the crowed with some of his hit songs.

IMG_9232Citi FM’s Family Month kicked started with Family Consecration service which saw hundreds of families gathering at the Winners Chapel in Accra to pray for their families.

Other activities which took place within the month of May included the Cook For Mama competition; a promotion specifically designed to celebrate mothers.

There was also The Family Finance Series; a daily 15 minutes segment on the Citi Breakfast Show through which listeners  were given quality insights into managing family finances in a bid to ensure stability and growth.
