Mother of the late former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama has passed on at Vitting Estates, Tamale.
The late Hajia Mariam Mahama died on Sunday May 25, 2014.
She is expected to be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic norms on Monday May 26, 2014.
She left behind several children and uncounted grandchildren including Farouk and Salma Aliu Mahama.
To keep the old lady alive, the family did not inform her about the death of her son Aliu Mahama.
It would be recalled that the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama, first northern vice President of Ghana died on November 16, 2012 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
He died the age of 66 from a heart-related condition and complications from stroke.
