The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has questioned President Mahama’s mode of appointments in his government.

According to the former Attorney General under the Kufuor regime, the appointments of President Mahama are bizarre and that the appointees lack merit.

[contextly_sidebar id=”mgrjfVD2wBPqGzGcjPpv1DJPxYP6TE7T”]This he said has partly accounted for the failures of his government.

He is therefore calling on Ghanaians to vote for a party that will bring qualified men to govern the country in the November.

Nana Akufo Addo was speaking at the launch of “Donate for Change,” a fundraising campaign launched by the New Patriotic Party ahead of the November elections.

“Incompetence is a hallmark of the Mahama government. Government appointments are not based on merits but on considerations which are not only puzzled but also bizarre. Our healthcare system is in shambles with the collapse of the National Health Insurance Scheme,” observed.

He said there was the need for change in the way this country is governed because the future of the nation cannot be entrusted in the hands of the NDC.

“Change that will make way for a competent, honest, hardworking, well qualified team take over the affairs of this country and steer it in the direction of prosperity for all,” he added.

Change is coming

“What excites me is that, in spite of all the difficulties, the Ghanaian people have hope. They have hope for a brighter future. They have hope because they believe change is coming. They believe change is coming because all over the country, Ghanaians from all walks of life, whether NPP or not, are all doing their bit to make this change happen this November.”
