Karpowership Ghana Limited has debunked reports that it is producing below capacity, stating that the company is committed to supplying sustainable and affordable electricity to Ghana.

In a statement copied to Citi Business News, the company insisted that it has been producing, on average, 210 MW of uninterrupted power for Ghana since December 18, 2015.

[contextly_sidebar id=”z3QY2zsXJIMXbrPU0B89kSzIydxI6Zy1″]According to the company, the power it currently supplies is 10 MW above the minimum contractual volume of 200 MW.

The statement was issued in reaction to some media reports that Karpower was producing power below the contractual volumes.

“With an installed capacity of 235mw powership, Karpower insists its contribution to the national grid guarantees one of the highest fuel efficiencies and provides lowest fuel cost for Ghana”, the statement said.

The company further clarified that as a strategic partner committed to Ghana’s development, they will continue providing all Ghanaians reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity.
