Hundreds of eager spectators converged on Tuesday at the Kumasi Jubilee Park in the Ashanti Region, to witness the much-talked about spiritual showdown between controversial Pastor, Bishop Daniel Obinim and renowned Kumasi-based Fetish Priest Okomfo Yaw Appiah.

The atmosphere at the park according to Citi News’ Lauretta Timah, was reminiscent of the incident in the Bible where Elijah engaged the prophets of Baal in a contest to prove who had superior powers.20160412055336
This battle was expected to come off last week in the studios of Accra-based Happy FM, but Obinim did not show up to meet the Fetish priest.

Some police officers were also at the Jubilee Park to ensure orderliness as the numbers increased. The expectant crowd were heard screaming at the sight of the coffin as others struggled to take photos.

Lauretta Timah says Pastor Daniel Obinim eventually left the Jubilee Park after he waited for over an hour without the presence of the fetish priest.

The Fetish Priest, is said to have alleged on radio that Pastor Obinim operates with powers that he bestowed upon him, and that he is not of God as he claims.

The claim thus angered the controversial Bishop who denied it and dared the Fetish priest to a challenge.

As part of the challenge, the self-acclaimed Bishop had reportedly vowed to invoke the power of God to kill the fetish priest.

He thus carried along with him a white coffin which was transported to the jubilee park in an ambulance.
