Guinness Ghana appoints new Communications Director

Ghana’s leading total beverage business and a Diageo Company, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has appointed Gabriel Opoku Asare as its new Corporate Relations Director.

He takes over from Preba Greenstreet, who has moved on to pursue other interests after nine years of dedicated service to GGBL.

Mr. Opoku Asare is a seasoned corporate relations expert and business leader.

He joins GGBL from Unilever where he was the Head of Corporate Affairs, a member of the Unilever Ghana Leadership Team and a member of Unilever Africa Region Sustainable Business and Communications Leadership Team.

Prior to joining Unilever, Gabriel was the Group Corporate Affairs Manager for the Mohinani Group.

Managing Director of Guinness Ghana, Francis Agbonlahor said “we are delighted to have Gabriel join our executive management team at GGBL.”

Gabriel Opoku Asare’s new role would mean he will be responsible for delivering of GGBL Corporate Relations strategy and lead the business in key areas of shaping public policy and government relations, effectively driving our ambitious sustainability agenda as well as internal engagement and external communications’.

Gabriel is an alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and is currently pursuing an MA in International Relations at Leicester University, United Kingdom.
