Citi News sources at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital say the President of the Senior Staff Association at the hospital, Charles Offei Palm, has been interdicted by management of the facility.

Mr. Offei Palm’s interdiction our sources say, follows renewed allegations he made against the hospital’s management on an Accra based radio station.

He is said to have re-echoed claims that the hospital’s board and CEO have mismanaged finances, leading to of a shortage of  drugs and other essentials.

Currently, leadership of the Senior Staff Association is in court, seeking to declare a disciplinary process to sanction them as null and void.

We fight for Korle Bu’s interest – KOSSA

Mr. Palm’s interdiction comes days after KOSSA said it will not rest on their oars until the management of the hospital fully addresses their concerns.

KOSSA has accused the management of financial malfeasance, an accusation the management denies.

About ninety percent of the members KOSSA passed a vote of no confidence in the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Dr. Gilbert Buckle, after accusing him of mismanaging the hospital’s internally generated funds and paying needless judgment debts while neglecting the welfare of staff of the hospital.

KOSSA’s call for his resignation received the backing of the members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association at the hospital.
