President Mahama has asked Ghanaians to celebrate the success Ghana has chalked over the years instead of placing emphasis on the challenges.

“Ghana has a huge potential if only we will take advantage. When we celebrate our success we will go forward and that is why I say count your blessings one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done,”the President said.

Speaking at the Good Friday Service of the Light House Chapel International at the Independence Square in Accra, the President further stated that Ghana’s problems would be solved if the citizenry learn to put away self doubt and remain optimistic.

“When we cast our self doubt we will be able to make it. The greatest enemy is self doubt. If you are afflicted with self doubt you cannot make it,” said the President.

 Difficult decisions

The President further indicated that government in a bid to resolve some challenges has been forced to take some difficult decisions.

“As a leader you are the head of the family and you have dependents and you have to punish your children and that is is similar to the decisions you take concerning a nation. You have to take difficult decisions in order that things can get better”

Easter message

The President was hopeful that the Easter festivities will “mark a new beginning” in the lives of Ghanaians.

“I want to use this occasion to express my best wishes to all Ghanaians. May the Spirit of Easter mark a new beginning.”
