President John Dramani has advised the people of the Volta region to ignore critics that suggest government has neglected the region.

The president’s comments followed remarks made by Volta Regional Minister, Helen Adjoa Ntosu, saying that the visit of the president to the region was evidence of his loyalty.

“As the Regional Minister told you, this is one region I have visited more than any other region in this country. And like she told you, anytime I come, I come on a working visit. And so a lot of development work is taking place in this region and I can assure you that the NDC government would never take your support for granted. We appreciate that this is our world bank, it is our IMF and so we would never take you for granted” he said

He was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people of todome-kpalime during an inspection tour on the eastern corridor roads on Thursday.

President Mahama during his visit interacted with chiefs and some residents of selected communities.
