The Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) in Tamale in the Northern Region, has been temporarily closed down following disturbances by students on Monday.

This comes barely two weeks after the Ghana Senior High and Vitting Senior Schools in the same region were closed down in disturbances over a disputed football match.

It is unclear what necessitated the closure but a reliable source at NOBISCO’s administration told Citi News some of the students were punished for scaling the school’s fenced wall at night during prep hours.

But some of the students claimed their teachers have been unnecessarily brutalizing them, hence their rebellion.

In a related development, an eleven member committee tasked to investigate the clashes between some students of Ghana Senior High and Vitting Senior High, is yet to submit its report.

Meanwhile, some students of Vitting Senior High School have appealed to the Ghana Education Service to reconsider its decision.

Students’ indiscipline has affected the the academic curriculum in most senior high schools in the Northern Region.

It would be recalled that some students of Ghana Senior High and Vitting Senior High Schools during a football match clashed over a penalty awarded Ghanasco.

First and second year students were sent home until further notice.
