“We have learnt of the sad demise of Mr Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party and leading figure in the advertising and marketing industry. Mr. Lamptey died on early Sunday morning in London after battling ill-health.

Jake’s death ‘hit us hard’ – NDC

The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), said the death of Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, hit them hard in the heart.

A statement signed by NDC’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, eulogized Obetsebi Lamptey saying Ghana’s political history cannot be written without the mention of his name.

“…We send out our heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended families of the late former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.” “We also commiserate with the NPP in this moment of grief.

In all honesty, contemporary Ghanaian political history cannot be written without the mention of Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey; and we pray the Good Lord finds a peaceful resting place for his soul,” the statement added.
