Ogilvy Ghana appoints new MD

Communications consultancy group, Ogilvy and Mather Ghana Limited, has appointed Akua Brayie Owusu-Nartey as its new Managing Director.

Her appointment will see her spearhead the enhancement of the capabilities of Ogilvy Ghana and its staff as well as the expansion of the company’s client base, growth in revenues and further improved marketing reputation.

A statement released to announce Akua’s appointment described her as, “one of the versatile, skilled and accomplished experts in Ghana’s advertising industry.”

Akua who is coming back to Ogilvy where she started her career in advertising, has also worked with  multiple brands including; Nestle, Vodafone, Sab Miller, Guinness, Renault and UNICEF. Others include DHL, P&G, Total, Coke, Woodin and Fidelity Bank.

Chief Executive Officer of Ogilvy Africa, Nadja Bellan-White in a congratulatory message described Akua as “The type of integrated marketing leader we need to continue to drive our expansion within Africa and within Ogilvy Worldwide. Ogilvy Ghana will not only benefit from her diverse skills, but also from the vast experience she will bring to bear on its business activities in Ghana.”

The Chairman of Ogilvy Ghana Limited, Gaddy Laryea, also commented that, “Akua is one of the rare pedigree of distinguished, experienced, well trained professional industry experts, destined to change the face of marketing communication in the 21st Century, here in Africa and beyond.”
