Everton full-back Bryan Oviedo is doubtful following a chest infection, while Aaron Lennon’s hamstring problem will also be assessed.

Kevin Mirallas begins a ban but Gareth Barry and Tom Cleverley should be fit after recovering from illness.

Chelsea will assess John Terry, who returns to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Blues will make a late decision on Diego Costa, who went off in midweek with a hip tendon injury.

Eden Hazard is available despite being troubled by an ongoing hip problem.

Guy Mowbray: “The winners Wembley-bound at least once; the loser’s season as good as over before Easter.

“Roberto Martinez says he doesn’t see it as ‘make or break’, but that is surely the reality for a manager under increasing scrutiny.

“He talked this week of the “Goodison Park effect”, but supporters can only do so much.

“One win in their last eight home league games and Everton’s tendency to lose leads will inevitably bring a nervous tension to the usual noise.

“Chelsea can play on that, and it might not be a bad thing to get away from Stamford Bridge after Wednesday’s Champions League disappointment.

“Winning the FA Cup is a must to save a desperate season that has the feel of the end of an era for London’s Blues.”

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Everton manager Roberto Martinez: “When you see the work of the players and then you don’t get the rewards you deserve, it is painful.

“[It is] a pain we share with all the fans. The frustration is there. We’ve seen outstanding signs this season and that is why it is so frustrating to see in games where we are winning, we throw it away.

“I don’t see it as a make-or-break (game). I see it as the type of game we want to be involved in. We have the advantage of playing it at Goodison, and we could achieve something really special.”

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink: “We had a difficult loss [against Paris St-Germain] and just two days to recover physically, psychologically and mentally.

“It’s always a blow when you’re knocked out (even when) by a good team.

“Now the players have to respond. Mentally, it’s very important they’re resilient.”
