MOBA celebrates maiden Gospel show

The Covenant Family Community Church hosted a number of past and immediate students of Mfantsipim school as they worshipped and praised God in a musical concert they dubbed, “MOBA Praise ’16.”

Speaking to Citi News, organisers of the program explained the need for Old Students’ to come together and glorify God for all that he has done for them as a community.

“MOBA Praise is a musical worship concert and the first of its kind on the MOBA National calendar to create a platform for the MOBA fraternity, their families and friends to gather in an atmosphere of love, joy and peace to glorify, thank God and seek HIS guidance and direction in the development of Mfantsipim School, MOBA and the lives of its members,” an organiser reiterated.

Asked whether the concert was open to other students from other schools, organisers said, “it is for all friends of MOBA” and that “some schools were invited.”

The occasion saw glorious ministrations from groups connected to the school such as Joyful Way Inc, as well as artiste who were former students. These included Yaw Antwi Dadzie,Jasher Taylor,Samuel Kojo Bentil,Frank Tagoe aka Perez Musik, Nii Okai and Rev. Nana Folson. Harmonious Chorale also ministered that night.

Among the prominent and known faces to attend the concert were Ace Ankomah, Rev. Dr. Daniel Ogbarmey Tettey, Prophet Kakra Baiden, Nana Sam Brew-Butler (Former GFA boss), Hon. Joe Ghartey,and Major Rtd. Sam
among others.

The concert ended with a cocktail and a photo shoot at the forecourt of the auditorium.

Mfantsipim School since its establishment in 1876 by the Wesleyan Mission now the Methodist Church, is producing and has produced top knots in the world and in Ghana with the likes of the late David Ghartey-Tagoe (first Ghanaian TV news caster) and the Nobel laureate Kofi Annan (7th Secretary-General of the UN) among a host of others.
