The Canadian High Commission is organising an educational forum in Accra, as part of efforts aimed at giving information on how Ghanaians can apply for schools in Canada.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, the Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Christopher Thornely, stated that, thirty-one schools from Canada are involved in the forum which is already underway at the La-Palm Hotel in Accra.
The programme, which is opened to the public, will provide opportunity to Ghanaians who wish to further their education through scholarship to learn more on Canadian scholarships available to foreigners.
This will include how to apply for visa and preparations needed by a prospective student travelling to Canada to further their education.
Mr. Thornely cited for example that Ghanaians who school and graduate in Canada could be classified as the ‘experience class’ and allowed to work in the country.
He maintained that Canadian education offers excellent and consistent training that would qualify any individual to work anywhere in the world.
He added that the Canadian High Commission is interested in deepening the country’s relationship with Ghana in the areas of education and trade.
