Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has been appointed Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Tourism.
Edo is now handling the affairs of Tourism to the Akwa Ibom State governor.
Edo, a native of Akwa Ibom in Nigeria, is celebrated for her contributions to the Nigerian Movie Industry and tourism in Nigeria and abroad.
The actress who was issued a letter of appointment last week, kept the good news to herself until recently.
She took to her instagram page to confirm the news.
She wrote: “To be called to serve is an honour. I give God all the glory. Am grateful to my state, my Governor, everyone of you with your constant prayers and support… God bless u.”
