The Chairman of the Convention People`s Party (CPP), Professor Edmund Delle, has chided some defeated aspirants in the party`s presidential primaries for discussing fallout from the congress in the media.

He believes the aggrieved members could have used internal party mechanisms to seek redress rather than resorting to the media.

[contextly_sidebar id=”Ifnt4WVzTYa2u6zLcArTa2afN6rXJkXz”]A defeated flagbearer aspirant, Samia Nkrumah, accused the newly elected presidential aspirant, Ivor Greenstreet, of influencing delegates with money barely a day after the congress.

“No; I’m obviously not happy with the results, but I accept them. The fact of the matter is that every delegate was paid GHc200 and GHc500 actually, amongst many other things. So, it was down to money and of course we cannot be happy about that but we accept the results, and we move on. There is a lot of work to be done and I will always serve the party. It’s a vision to serve not for an individual,” Samia said.

Speaking on the development, Edmund Delle, said Samia erred by openly discussing internal party issues.

“I didn’t expect this to come out from leaders of the party; from my former Chairperson. It could be true that I respect her so much and she is a disciplined woman; and I felt that she should have controlled her emotions and made sure that she brought this report to the party and then the party sits down and works because we call ourselves comrades and we are distinct from the other parties because when we have problems; you don’t go into the public and start talking. And I have emphasized this point. If you have any problems, let’s solve them indoors.”
