Ghanaian midfielder Andre Ayew is gearing up for Marseille’s final league match of the season against Guingamp.

Under the supervision of Marseille doctor Christophe Baudot, the player trained alone on Wednesday but joined his team-mates in running sessions on Thursday ahead of their last match of the current season.

A full training is scheduled for Friday and Ayew is expected to be participate in that as interim boss Jose Anigo decides on the team for the match at home to 15th-placed Guingamp.

Marseille are hoping to win and climb up to 5th and clinch a possible Europa League but that will rely on Nice’s ability to get a good result against Lyon.

Should Ayew play on Saturday, it will be his 25th game of the season and he will hope to increase his current tally of five goals and set up more than the two has done so far for Les Phoceens.
