The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) is set to resume operations this month.

TOR which was scheduled to begin operations last week had to postpone it due to challenges with the Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) Plant.

“We are resuming this month after trying to come back towards the latter part of January in fact we have taken delivery of a parcel of crude oil so we are in the process of starting the plant up. We had some of the residue in stock and we wanted to refine that residue and then get some crude oil as a back up so that we will run it through our second plant and then make some margins,” he said.

Kofi Asante added, “We started last week but they are still on it trying to get it back on track so we can feed in the residue then we can make space then we can make space to process the crude oil for the first plant and generate another residue.”
