As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and employee driven initiative dubbed Make your Change, Airtel Ghana has made a donation comprising food and non-food items to Children and staff of the SOS Village in Tamale.

Make your change is an initiative that encourages Airtel’s employees to get involved in their local communities by identifying and putting forward sustainable projects or causes they are passionate about. Such projects are then vetted and funded by the Changemaker Company.

Handing over the items in Tamale, Kwame Osafo-Amoah, Airtel Ghana’s Zonal Business Manager for the Northern Zone said “At Airtel Ghana, we are passionate about impacting lives. Today’s donation is our way of supporting the SOS Children’s village and contributing to enrich the lives of the children in the village”.

On his part, Mr. Christopher Luguterah, Director of SOS Children’s Village, Tamale thanked Airtel Ghana for the kind gesture which he described as indeed timely. In his words “it is indeed amazing to note that God could spot us where we are and direct your path to support us in this way. We are grateful to Airtel Ghana for this kind gesture”.

SOS Children’s Village in Tamale is both a home and school for nearly 110 orphaned children from the Northern Region. The village is part of a network of facilities spanning across all the regions in Ghana.
