English Premier League club Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Togolese international forward Emmanuel Adebayor.
The 31 year old who has been without a club since he was released by Tottenham in September has signed a contract which will keep him at Palace until the end of the season.
Crystal Palace have had a decent season so far and lie 11th on the Premier League table , six points behind fifth placed Manchester United and three clear of defending Champions Chelsea.
However, the club has had problems in front of goal in recent weeks and coach Alan Pardew had spoken of his desire to make a key signing in the transfer window.
Adebayor has been keeping fit with a personal trainer every day but the player will be assessed by the club before their game on Saturday against Stoke in the FA Cup.
Emmanuel Adebayor has had stints with Arsenal and on loan at Real Madrid in Spain and captained his national team at the 2006 World Cup.
