Pending the increment of sachet water prices in the country, some vendors have expressed worry about the disruption it may bring on their businesses.
The association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers has hinted that there will be a 50% increment in their products this week due to the recent increase in utility tariffs.

One trader speaking to Citi News noted profits were becoming difficult to come by given the money spent on utilities even without the increases.
She said,”We get little from the water we sell because even the electricity we use to cool the water is very expensive these days. I used to buy GHc 20 for the month but now it lasts just 3 days.”
“If there is any increment, then I think we will stop the job and then look for something else because we can just be working and rather lose money,” she continued.
One other trader expressed concern for children that depended on sachet water on a daily basis.
“The school children will be the worst affected when there should be an increment. She said. “most of these children buy water a lot… this will be very difficult for them and even their parents.”
