The Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) has started the vetting process of flagbearer aspirants for the November general elections.

Mr Akomfra indicated the Chairman and a Secretary has been chosen for the committee and they are currently working and examining documents.

The actual vetting of the aspirants is likely to begin tomorrow, he added.

“I don’t believe that today they would be meeting any of their aspirant today. More than likely, I think that will be tomorrow,” he said.

According to Mr Akomfra, the vetting process is scheduled to end on Friday, January 15 giving the committee ample time to receive petitions and gather relevant information.

He said, “The vetting is between the 12th and the 15th. That means it give that vetting committee a chance to gather all information, receive any petitions, et cetera.”
