Close to the end of the match, Everton posted on Twitter the match had been put on hold “due to a cat on the pitch. Jack Robles asks it to politely move… and it does. Game on!!”

This is not the first time that this has happened in England.
On February 6, 2012, in a match between Liverpool and Everton, a cat invaded the pitch after a fan handcuffed himself to the goal post.
