How Parliament agreed on the new petroleum levies [Audio]

Parliament debated and agreed on the passage of the Energy Sector Levy (ESL) under a certificate of urgency on December 25, 2015 despite reservations from sections of the Minority.

This has resulted in the current hikes in the prices of petroleum products.

Petrol is up by about 22%, diesel by about 27% and LPG, 18%.
