The boy was knocked down by a Land Rover vehicle at Awoshie station while he was trying to cross the road with his bicycle.

According to an eyewitness, James Arhin, the two vehicles; a Land Rover discovery 3 and a Jeep 4×4, were seen trying to overtake each other on the highway.

The boy, whose name was only given as Theo, was knocked down by the Land rover when the driver tried to swerve an oncoming vehicle.12399280_1016840691672116_1959689070_n

“The cars were on top-speed. When the Jeep overtook the Land Rover, the driver also tried to overtake him. Some people were pushing a taxi so the Land rover tried swerving the taxi but unfortunately, the young boy was crossing the road on his bicycle. He tried swerving him too but he couldn’t so he ran into him before jumping on the pavement and crashing into an uncompleted building.”1932101_1016838245005694_934386380_n

The police have so far towed the vehicles and are currently investigating the incident.
