Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says every reported Black Stars squad list being put out in the media ahead of the official announcement on Monday is false.
Many media houses, including Citi FM (click here for story), have reported what they believe is the final list to be named by the manager.
“Until Monday, any list making the rounds is pure speculation. I have not named any team and I don’t know what will be a surprise or disappointment,” Appiah said in Friday’s edition of the Graphic Sports newspaper.
World football governing body, Fifa, require all teams taking part in next month’s World Cup to file their provisional teams before May 13.
But Appiah has confirmed that there will be few surprises.
“I have always maintained that every player who has a club, has had the opportunity to train or play with the cub and available for national duty is qualified for a (Black) Stars call up
“I have monitored all the players I want to check out and I am happy with what I have seen.
“The second round of the European leagues have been good for the players and thankfully, there are also no major injury worries and all that are good signs for us.”
Meanwhile, Appiah also spoke about other issues regarding local players and interference in team selection
