The Sports Editor at Citi FM, Nathan Quao has been nominated for the Best Radio Reporter/ Journalist Award in the 2nd Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards.

Quao is among four nominees for the award whose work in the 2015 calendar year will be assessed by a jury award.

He is contesting the award with Bright Kankam Boadu (Luv FM, Kumasi),  Benedict Owusu (Joy FM, Accra), and Christian Chibueze (Kekeli FM, Ho).

Quao joined Citi Sports in January 2013 as a reporter and he became editor of the sports desk in January 2015.

He is the regular host of station’s Barclays Premier League live coverage and he used to host “Half Time”, a sports discussion show which aired on Wednesday afternoons.

He is part of the panel for “Sports Panorama”, the station’s sports magazine and discussion show which airs live on Friday evenings.

Quao has also done some work on television with appearances on TV3, Viasat One, Metro TV and GH One where he hosted their weekly sports show, “The Game” between September 2014 and October 2015.

The 2nd Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards is powered by Hallmark Plus Multimedia and will come off at the Fiesta Royale Hotel on December 26 and current Vice-President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Sports Minister Hon. Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, and former President John Agyekum Kuffor.

The event is supported by Divino Friends, organisers and founders of the the Africa-Italy Excellence Awards, Enya Events, Metro TV Sports, Arik Air, Graphic Sports, The Finder, Kessben FM Sports (Kessben) and Western Group, publishers of the Daily Guide newspaper.
