CEO of Dreams FC, Kurt Okraku, has told Citi Sports his club is focused on their core belief of grooming talent despite the uncertainty surrounding the start of the next Ghana Premier League season.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to announce the date for the league and that has led to many complaints from several owners of football clubs in the league.

Kurt Okraku, whose club has qualified for the Premier League, explained to Citi Sports that even though there are no clear timelines for the start of the league, Dreams FC is sticking to its main belief of developing players.

“On our part, we are not worried by the turn of events. It is not stressful at all for us. We are a club that develops talents and so whether we compete in the league or not, we will continue to follow our programme for the year.”

“Of course, competition is important for the development of talents but if the competitions are not available, we are not bothered; but if there is a confirmed date for the commencement of the league, we will say hallelujah.”

The team has been holding a pre-season camp and has played some friendly matches so far.

Dreams FC topped Zone 3 of the GN Bank Division One League with 56 points to qualify for the Premier League, ahead of Tema Youth and King Solomon who were both tied on 49 points.
