The father of the kids who were crashed to death by a hit-and-run driver in the company of their grandmother, has told Citi News he is deeply devastated by the loss of his children and mother.

The children and their grandmother were killed by a commercial bus on Saturday December 12, 2015.

According to the military officer father of the kids, Staff Sergeant Owusu Sekyere, the accident occurred when the children and his their grandmother, were returning from his father in-law’s funeral at Kordeabe near Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.

Sergent Owusu Sekyere narrated how the incident happened to Citi News.

“I’m a soldier man. When my former wife lost his father, I called my mother to accompany me to the funeral. She came to meet me at Bundase and we attended the funeral. After the funeral, on our way back home, we joined a public transport from Kordeabe to Teshie. Because my mother was tired, I hired a taxi for her to take my daughters home when the accident happened. I lost my daughters and my mother, I’m very sad now,” he lamented.
