President John Dramani Mahama will today, Tuesday December 15, host an event dubbed “Accounting To The People” at the Banquet Hall- State House, at which he will highlight to Ghanaians what his government has achieved since he was elected into office.

The event comes off at 7:30pm.

According to the statement, the event is geared towards deepening transparency and accountability in governance which is the fourth pillar of the manifesto of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2012.

The NDC manifesto also pledged to build a strong resilient economy, modernize agriculture and provide better health care for all among other points.

President Mahama was recently endorsed by a little over one million members of the NDC to lead the party in the 2016 general elections.

He has since re-nominated Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur as his running mate for the second time.

Despite the incessant criticisms of his performance, President Mahama is convinced his administration has performed tremendously.
