GIHOC Distilleries has launched the ‘’Chill and Win Promotion’’.  The nationwide promo is aimed at rewarding valued customers.

The three months promo will recognize, reward, and encourage the company’s loyal customers whose patronage has brought the company to the level it is now.

The ultimate prize for the promotion is a brand new Hyundai Elantra which would be handed out to the lucky winner in the third  and last of the monthly draws. Loyal customers will also win other prizes in the form of cash prizes, motorbikes, 40 inch LED TV’s,  at the end of each monthly draw.

To take part in the promo, one must buy a regular or PET bottle of Mandingo, Herb Afrik, or Castle Bridge. On each bottle, one will find a red sticker with a grey scratch panel. There is a code under the grey panel which must be scratched to unveil a unique code. The code must be  texted to 1762 on any mobile network. A text cost 30 pesewas . To increase a person’s chances of winning, he/she is supposed to buy more of the beverages and text as many codes he/she finds to the given short code.

‘THE GIHOC CHILL AND WIN PROMOTION’ is only open to people above the age of 18, the Managing Director of the company, Kay Kwao Simmonds said.

GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited was the first modern distillery to be established in West Africa and it’s presently the only distillery in Ghana. It was established in 1958 as the State Distilleries Corporation for the manufacture of alcoholic beverages. However, in 1968, it became a division of the then Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC). In 1993, GIHOC Distilleries became and still remains a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Ghana.

MD of GIHOC distilleries company Ltd told Citi Business News that the company is looking at expanding to neighbouring Togo and Cote D’Ivoire by the end of the year 2015.

”The company already has three of its products on the Nigeria market,” she said.
