Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Pappy Kojo, engaged fans in a live Twitter and Facebook chat at Airtel Ghana’s ring road office, ahead of Citi FM’s Decemba to Rememba Concert.

The “Ayɜ late” hit maker engaged fans on issues ranging from his personal life, influences, fashion and even his one-time job as a pizza boy in Italy. Pappy Kojo, real name Jason Gaisie, revealed to fans Micheal Jackson is one of his core artistic influences.

He however cited the “hiplife grand papa”, Reggie Rockstone and Obrafuor, as one of his most recent influences with their record, “Pae mu ka”, pushing him to get serious with music.

He also attributes his eccentric hairdo, his Mohawk-type dread locks, to Obrafuo’s influence. He added that he has not cut his hair in 11 years.

Pappy Kojo shed some light on his time in Italy including the fact he delivered Pizza for money and his friends teased him for that.

On his return to Ghana, which he describes as difficult, he revealed he had just 50 Euros in his pocket.

Pappy Kojo’s twitter chat with fans got quite playful too with fans trying to pry into his love life.

Pappy Kojo, who says he started rapping at age 10, assured fans upcoming D2R concert was going to be “all fire up on stage” and promised fans a performance of his hit single “Ayɜ late”.

Looking to the future, Pappy Kojo says his plans are in God’s hands and stated that his first album will be out next year.

The Decemba 2 Rememba Concert 2015, will feature others like E.L, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Kontihene, Atom, Eazzy, Okyeame Kwame and a host of others.

The event known as Ghana’s official Christmas party will be held on December 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre. The dress code for the event, like every other year, is white top and jeans.
