National Blood Service awards 11 with veep in attendance [photo story]

The National Blood Service has awarded 11 individuals and 16 organizations for their immense contributions towards the success of the Service. 

The awards coincided with the 15^th National Blood Donor Day Celebration and launching of the Annual Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign on Monday in Accra.

Speaking at the event, Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur urged Ghanaians to see voluntary blood donation as a civic responsibility.

According to him, this will encourage more Ghanaians to get involved blood donation exercises as a way of addressing shortages at the various blood banks in the country.
