This year Farmers’ day promises to be delightful with the 4th edition of the African Soup Fair dubbed “TrƆfƐ” which will be held on December 4 in Accra at Crystal Park, East Legon.

TrƆfƐ” which means ‘tasty soups’ is organized by Winners Partners Group Limited to promote a variety of African dishes using African agricultural products.

Commenting, Mrs Edwije Koffi Event Manager at Winners Partners Group Limited said:
“TrƆfƐ village offers a platform to all African food lovers to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes from diverse African countries like Gabon, Nigeria, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and many more. It is also a place where we remind people and ourselves of our cultural heritage.’’

Mrs Koffi explained that the objective of TrƆfƐ is to use goods locally grown in the country to cook a wide range of meals. “Our aim is to support local farmers by eating what they produce”, she added.

According to organizers of the event, this year’s edition will include a cooking competition between young women from five different African countries between the ages of 20 and 25.

‘We want to encourage young ladies in keeping the rich African gastronomy tradition and in a way prepare them for their future married life’, Mrs Koffi said.

The traditional TrƆfƐ befitting dancing known as “Bal Poussière‘’ will be the climax of the event with sensational Ghanaian Highlife Artiste Nana Fynn and popular Ivorian Group Sharks of Zouglou who have been billed as the main acts to treat participants to an unforgettable experience with vintage music from deepest Africa.

Tickets are available at MaxMart, Cristal Park, Chez Clarisse Osu and Ring Road Restaurant.

Gate opens at 12PM and free palm wine will also be served to all adults who love it.
