The Peoples National Convention (PNC) youth in the Northern Region have intensified their campaign to get Dr. Edward Mahama elected as the party’s flag bearer for the 2016 elections.
Dr. Edward Mahama has staged a comeback to lead the party and will have to pass the litmus test of winning the flag bearer contest.

The PNC Northern Regional Youth Organizer, Iddrisu Salifu Protocol told Citi News Dr. Edward Nasigri Mahama will be the party’s best for the 2016 elections.
“People actually relate the PNC as a cantata party and of course it is not for nothing that big sharks within the party have called on Dr. Edward Mahama to come and salvage this party.”
He said PNC delegates will do the party a huge disservice by not electing Dr. Edward Nasigri Mahama as the party’s flag bearer.
He maintained that the PNC needed critical thinkers to restore the party’s credentials since it was relegated to a comic show during the 2012 general elections.
“The situation that the party was brought to bear during IEA debate in the 201 elections: because of that singular act anytime the PNC is mentioned in the media the perception out there is one of a joke.”
Iddrisu Salifu Protocol further asked PNC delegates to elect Bernard Mornah as the party’s national Chairman.
“As a matter of fact it is Dr. Edward Mahama and Bernard Mornah under their leadership that the PNC will be able to take Ghana into the limelight so that the hydra headed problems that have confronted Ghana will be solved.”
